Locality:
Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Towards the back of gulch, on the left side. HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0003. About 30 feet up and away from stream and 0002.
Plant Description:
Tree about 23 feet tall, forking into two main branches about 14 feet up from base. Lots of herbivory on leaves. In bud and immature fruit.

Habitat:
About 50% canopy of Pisonia sandwicensis growing with mixed native and non-native plant species along side of stream.

W/ Psidium guajava, Clidemia hirta, Aleurites moluccanus, Freycinetia arborea, Hedychium gardnerianum, Metrosideros polymorpha, Pisonia sandwicensis, Cordyline fruticosa, Dicranopteris linearis, Rubus argutus, Piper methysticum, Antidesma platyphyllum, Ipomoea batatas, Selaginella sp., Cyrtandra sp.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number 'HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0003'. Three voucher specimens, DNA material and lots of cuttings were collected. NTBG accession #20160203.
