Plant Description:
1 giant tree with a single bole, approximately 12m tall and wide, emerging from the surrounding canopy of non-native trees. The only native in sight, surviving despite adjacent landslide that destroyed DOFAW fence around 5 years ago, and subsequent explosion of weeds in the area. Tree is in full flower and fruit, appears healthy and mostly leafed out. Leaves are dark green above, densely pubescent below and along rachis and petioles. Fruits and inflorescence also pubescent. Honeybees visiting flowers.
