Locality:
Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Towards the back of gulch, on the left side. HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0004, tagged on hame tree about 4 feet away. About 40 feet up slope from 0003.
Plant Description:
Tree, about 28 feet tall and forking into two main branches about 5 feet up from base.

10-100 m2
Habitat:
Open canopy growing with mixed native and non-native plant species along side of stream.
Associated Species:
W/ Psidium guajava, Clidemia hirta, Aleurites moluccanus, Freycinetia arborea, Hedychium gardnerianum, Metrosideros polymorpha, Pisonia sandwicensis, Cordyline fruticosa, Dicranopteris linearis, Rubus argutus, Piper methysticum, Antidesma platyphyllum, Ipomoea batatas, Selaginella sp., Cyrtandra sp.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number 'HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0004'. One voucher specimen, DNA material and 2 cuttings were collected. NTBG accession #20160204.
