Plant Description:
Shrub with trailing stems, leaves shiny. Corolla pinkish in bud, petals white, flowers fragrant (11 am). Common locally, indigenous.
Habitat:
Low, open Metrosideros forest over a`a lava flow.
Associated Species:
With understory of Scaevola sericea, Styphelia, and Wikstroemia.
