Koaie Canyon, about 1 mile up river from Lonomea camp.
Plant Description:
Tree about 22 feet tall. Feeble, with one large branch broken. Flowers white and fragrant with ample, sweet nectar.

Bud, flower, fruit
Habitat:
Mixed native and non-native, dry to mesic forest. On rocky, steep side of cliff above stream.

W/ Aleurites moluccana, Metrosideros polymorpha, Dodonaea viscosa, Oplismenus hirtellus, Lantana camara, Diospyros sandwicensis, Cordyline fruticosa, Melia azedarach, Kalanchoe pinnata, Pleomele aurea, Sphenomeris chinensis, Alyxia stellata, Euphorbia celastroides var hanapepensis

HSPC focal taxon. Mapped, flagged and tagged with HIB WAI WAI KOA B 0001 on Aleurites moluccana below. DNA, 3 vouchers and cuttings (NTBG 20170428) collected.
