Locality:
Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Then up secondary gulch to the right, then next smaller gulch to the right, on left side. Up on edge of ridge with a steep drop off.

Habitat:
Under about 10% canopy of Bobea elatior, growing with mixed native and non-native plant species on rocky substrate with moderate slope.
Associated Species:
W/ Pisonia sandwicensis, Clidemia hirta, Lantana camara, Hedychium gardnerianum, Cyclosorus parasiticus, Cyrtandra confertiflora, Bobea elatior, Antidesma sp.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0020. One voucher specimen and DNA material collected. Tagged on Bobea elatior right next to it.
