Lower Limahuli Valley. In stream at bottom of Hib wai han gulch, which is the first main gulch on the right if youre coming down from the main falls.
Plant Description:
Tree about 30 feet tall. One main, straight trunk. HIB WAI HAN LIM A 0020.
Habitat:
Wet, predominately non-native, forest. Growing in middle of small stream. Forming canopy with Aleurites moluccana, Psidium guajava, Schefflera actinophylla.
Associated Species:
W/ Psidium guajava, P. cattleianum, Schefflera actinophylla, Aleurites moluccana, Clidemia hirta, Cordyline fruticosa, Metrosideros polymorpha, Cyclosorus parasiticus, Freycinetia arborea.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number HIB WAI HAN LIM A 0020. One voucher specimen and DNA material collected. Tagged on Psidium guajava right next to it. Too tall to tell phenology.
