Lower Limahuli Valley. Side gulch. Growing along left side of stream as you look up.
Plant Description:
Large tree with two main trunks splitting about 3 feet above the ground. Very large shade leaves.
Habitat:
Wet, mixed native and non-native, forest. About 80% canopy cover. Rocky bank on side of stream.
Associated Species:
W/ Pisonia sandwicensis, Cyrtandra spp., Freycinetia arborea, Psidium cattleianum, Spathodea campanulata, Clidemia hirta, Metrosideros polymorpha, Musa sp., Cyathea cooperi
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number HIB WAI HAN LIM A 0010 but attached on a Pisonia right next to it. One sterile voucher specimen and DNA material collected.
