Locality:
Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Then up secondary gulch to the right, then next smaller gulch to the right, on left side.
Plant Description:
Tree with one main trunk. First branching starts about 10 feet up from ground level. HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0011.

In bud and flower
Population Area:
10-100 m2
Habitat:
Open canopy growing with mixed native and non-native plant species along side of stream on rocky substrate with moderate slope.
Associated Species:
W/ Pisonia sandwicensis, Clidemia hirta, Freycinetia arborea, Lantana camara, Cyclosorus parasiticus.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0011. Two voucher specimens and DNA material collected.
