Plant Description:
Single-trunked tree approximately 11m tall, partially leafed-out with young leaves still emerging from branch ends. Young leaves are pubescent, but quickly becoming glabrous throughout on older leaves. Darker green above, paler below, with petioles and rachis deep reddish purple. One infructescence and 4 inflorescences visible. Tree seems healthy, though growing on the edge of eroded cliff on side of ridge. Inflorescence appears deformed, abnormally shortened with flowers bunched together near end of raceme. Some infructescence appear similarly deformed.
