Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Towards the back of gulch, on the left side then just to the right of ridge where 0001 is located. Up left side of gulch, about 20 feet up from 0024 and about 3 feet down slope from 0008. HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0025
Plant Description:
Large shrub to small tree. Three main stems from base. In bud.
Population Area:
10-100 m2
Habitat:
Growing with mixed native and non-native plant species, on side of moderate slope.
Associated Species:
W/ Psidium guajava, Clidemia hirta, Freycinetia arborea, Pisonia sandwicensis, Lantana camara, Antidesma platyphyllum, Cyrtandra sp.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged directly with HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0025. One voucher specimen in bud and DNA material collected.
