Locality:
Asau Bay, small island north of Vaimoana Seaside Lodge, inside of fringing reef, remnant of old runway.
Plant Description:
Shrub 1.5 m tall. Leaves discolorous, paler beneath. Flower with purple corolla. Fruits immature, green. Scarce, 1 plant seen.
Habitat:
Coral rubble overlaying basalt outcrops, with shrubby coastal vegetation.
Associated Species:
Hibiscus tiliaceus, Dendrolobium umbellatum, Vitex trifolia, Heliotropium foetherianum, Canavalia rosea, Lepturus repens.
