Small grass, vigorous, in flower and fruit.

Habitat:
Near edge of coastal Pandanus tectorius forest. Exposed, open canopy growing on lava rock substrate with salt spray.
Associated Species:
Pandanus tectorius, Scaevola taccada, Casuarina equisetifolia, Fimbristylis cymosa, Cocos nucifera, Ardisia elliptica, Mucuna gigantea, Phymatosorus grossus
Comments:
HSPC focal species from Maui. Seeds collected from approximately 25 individuals within a 30 x 30 square foot radius. Collection given NTBG accession 20160642. Two voucher specimens and DNA also collected.
