La Perouse. In parking lot at end of publicly accessible road.
Plant Description:
Large shrub about 6 feet tall and 7 x 7 feet diameter. In bud, flower, immature, and mature fruit.

In bud, flower and fruit
Habitat:
In middle of parking lot at end of road, near Makena Stables. Full sun, on aa lava, cinder and coral substrate.
Associated Species:
W/ Nicotiana glauca
Comments:
HSPC focal species. Two voucher specimens, DNA, and fruit collected. Seeds cleaned on Oct. 24. Three fruit - yellow, mature, open = 140 seeds; yellow fruit, not open = 85 seeds; part yellow fruit, not open = 128 seeds. Being used for research in the process of storage and propagation.
