Locality:
A few hundred yards north from the far north end of Polihale Beach. The first Capparis plant in a series of tagged individuals.
Plant Description:
Large sprawling shrub growing over boulders. In bud, flower and immature fruit.
Phenology:
In bud, flower and immature fruit
Habitat:
Just above high tide line of rocky shoreline.
Associated Species:
W/ Myoporum sandwicense, Leucaena leucocephala, Ricinus communis, Prosopis pallida.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged underneath the plant with CAP SAN HIK A 0005. Three voucher specimens and DNA material collected. One larger immature fruit bagged with wire mesh. First tagged plant down the coast.
