Locality:
A few hundred yards north from the far north end of Polihale Beach.
Plant Description:
Large sprawling shrub, about 5 feet tall and 12 x 12 feet in diameter. Sixth tagged plant down the coast. About 20 feet down the coast and closer to the ocean compared to A 0008.
Phenology:
In flower and immature fruit.
Habitat:
Just above high tide line of rocky shoreline.
Associated Species:
W/ Myoporum sandwicense, Leucaena leucocephala, Ricinus communis, Prosopis pallida.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with CAP SAN HIK A 0009. Three voucher specimens and DNA material collected. Sixth tagged plant down the coast. One immature fruit bagged with wire mesh.
