Locality:
Mt. Haupu, middle of the range N of finger, trail up ridge behind maintenance sheds. On main Haupu Ridge.
Plant Description:
8 ft. Trunk tan w/ white splotches and lichen. Leaves clutered toward apex upright near center and lateral. Leaf margins undulating w/purple marginal teeth. New leaves purple tint. About 20 plants in area most single stem some w/2 heads.

Disturbed lowland windward Forest

W/ In deep uluhe, just below ridge. Sphenomeris chinensis, Psidium, and Schizachyrium condensatum just above on ridge.
