Mahaulepu area of SE Kauai. Along cliffs just south of CMJ Country Stables. Started on the west end of population and headed east.
Small shrub, prostrate, sprawling over rocks. About 3x3 feet in diameter. In bud and immature fruit. Feeble. Second Capparis plant in a series of tagged individuals. CAP SAN MAH A 0002.

About 20 meters from edge of lithified sandstone cliffs. Windswept and full sun, mixed native and non-native vegetation.
W/ Scaevola taccada, Leucaena leucocephala, Euphorbia degeneri, Branta sandvicensis, weedy grasses.
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with CAP SAN MAH A 0002. One voucher specimen and DNA material collected. Second tagged plant down the coast, starting from the west end.
