Locality:
Mahaulepu area of SE Kauai. Along cliffs just south of CMJ Country Stables. About five feet towards the cliff and east from 0012.
Plant Description:
Sprawling, prostrate shrub, about 4x4 feet in diameter. In bud and flower. CAP SAN MAH A 0013.
Phenology:
In bud and flower
Habitat:
About 20 meters from edge of lithified sandstone cliffs. Windswept. Growing underneath canopy of Prosopis pallida.
Associated Species:
W/ Prosopis pallida, Scaevola taccada, Leucaena leucocephala, Schinus terebinthifolius, Fimbristylis cymosa, Sida fallax, Branta sandvicensis, weedy grasses.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged CAP SAN MAH A 0013. One voucher specimen and DNA material collected.
