Plant Description:
4 m tall, moderately branched tree; trunk 25 cm DBH, gray mottled white-brown; 4 major branches at 1.5 m height; rounded crown; immature inflor; leaf collected for C. Gemmill (molecular analysis).
Habitat:
Raised limestone island with sharp relief and deep andesitic (fine gray volcanic) soils; mature rainforest of Calophyllum mixed upland vegetation.
Associated Species:
Calophyllum neo- ebudicum; Dysoxylum tongense; Elattostachys falcata.
