Plant Description:
Scattered shrubs to small trees, 10-15 ft. ht. with fruit, leaves 15-18 cm. long X 3-4 cm. wide, leaves elliptic to ovate, lower leaf brown, petiole about 3 cm., leaf base attenuate, fr. capsule 20 mm. X 14 mm., persistent style
Habitat:
In native shrubland.

With Metrosideros, Psychotria, Wikstroemia, Cyanea hardyi, Bidens forbesii, Chamaesyce celastroides var. amplectens, Pipturus, Hibiscus kokio ssp. st.johnianus, Pritchardia limahuliensis, Lobelia niihauensis, Hedyotis acuminata, Clidemia hirta, Lantana, Schefflera, Psidium.
