Plant Description:
Common understory tree; 3-5 m tall; leaves with hairs tinged reddish below; trunk light brown or gray-brown; many branch- ed; leaves clustered at branch tips.
Habitat:
Diverse mesic forest.
Associated Species:
With Styphelia tameiameiamae, Dodonaea viscosa, Psychotria hobdyi, Antidesma platyphyllum var. hillebrandii, Gahnia beecheyi, Eragrostis variabilis, Panicum nephelophilum.
