Common shrub to small tree, 8-14 ft. ht. with flowers and fruit.

In Acacia koa- Metrosideros mesic forest.

w/ Coprosma, Dubautia plantaginea, Alyxia, Psychotria,Dianella, Schinus, Scaevola, Hedyotis terminalis, Passiflora suberosa, Nephrolepis
