Plant Description:
rhizomes clumping in 2 x 2m clusters, stems erect 3-4 m tall, stems green with nodes spaced 25-35 cm, internodes speckled, rhizome collected for NTBG nursery
Habitat:
Relic Metrosideros-Acacia-Dicranopteris lowland wet forest
Associated Species:
with Psychotria mariniana, Pisonia, Hedyotis terminalis, Cyanea fissa, Pittosporum glabrum, and patches of Piper methysticum.
