Locality:
Pohakuao; upper isolated valley above falls; north of Kalalau and south of Hanakoa; relictual. Elev. 1400-2000 ft.
Plant Description:
30 tree were observed live; ca 100 dead and fallen trees; at one time a rich area for Flueggea; only four healthy trees; most trees were half dead with suckering at middle and base; a few in early fruit.
Habitat:
Dverse mesic forest.
Associated Species:
With Pouteria sandwicensis, Santalum freycinetianum, Psychotria mariniana, Pteralyxia kauaiensis.
