Locality:
Napali Coast, Hanakapiai Valley, back of Hanakapiai side valley to the east of main falls.
Plant Description:
About 30 ft. NW of of NT4522 and next to NT4524. About 15 ft tall. Old dried fruit handing on leaf petioles and stuck on trunk. Petioles with some purple, new leaves light green. Sprouts at base of slender trunks. Seed LC# 20160111

Disturbed lowland windward Forest
Associated Species:
W/ Canopy of Aleutites moluccana, Pisonia umbellifera, Metrosideros, Spathodea campanulata and mid-story with Psychotria mariniana, Bobea elatior, Psydrax, Alyxia, Psidium guajava, Cordyline, Pipturus, Piper methysticum, Hedyechium, and understory with Clidemia, Oplismenus, Blechnum, Ageratina riparia, Cyrtandra confertiflora, Rubus rosifolius, Colocasia esculenta, Elephantopus mollis, Phaius tancarvilleae, Christella, ferns and mosses.
