NaPali Coast State Park, back of Kalalau Valley, Upper reaches of stream in East side of Valley. On ridge above and to the west of Pterlayxia falls.
Plant Description:
Large tree, 15 ft. tall on East side of ridge. New leaves red-brown below. Leaf tips down-curved, older leaves red-brown below shinny dark to yellow-green above and dull green below. Fruit yellow. Bark dark. Flower thick petals, urn shaped, cream color w/ red-brn tinge to petal margins.
