Locality:
National Tropical Botanical Garden in Lawai Valley. McBryde Garden, Big Valley, near Stillwater Dam, west side of Lawai Stream.
Plant Description:
Solitary palm, trunk 3 m x 30 cm, base bulbous, crown w 30 lvs., petioles 2 m, yellow tinged, blade subcircular, 2 x 2 m, yellow-tinged w ribs scurfy beneath. Female plant, inflorescences interfoliar, to 2.5 m, rachillae 3-6; fruits green, obovoid, 5 x 4 cm, 2-3-seeded. Seedling lvs w yellow-red margins. Cult., origin Mauritius. NTBG acc. 910256001
