leaves Astringent. Medicine for curing newborn child's belly button. Break off one of the leaves from the plant. Let water (sap?) drop from the handle into the newborn baby's belly tutton to cure it fast. Informant : Stewo Gallen, Pohnpei, school teacher, male, 58 years old.
