Na Pali Coast Trail, ca 1 mile SW of Ke'e Beach, just NE of Hanakapiai Valley. Alt. 140-150 m.
Plant Description:
Tree 6 m tall, bole 50 cm in diam., branching at 0.6 m., bark furrowed, blackish, crown dense, rounded, spreading. Flowers creamy white. Pods straight, seeds lengthwise. Population of 18-20 trees extending up ridge, this largest individual.
Habitat:
North-facing slope.
Associated Species:
W/ Pandanus, Acacia, scattered Metrosideros, and dense stands of Dicranopteris.
