Plant Description:
Canopy tree 15 m tall, trunk 1 m d.b.h. Leaves medium dull green above. Calyx greenish-white, margin pink, petals and stamens white, with faint odor (10 am). Fruit said to be purple-red and edible.
Habitat:
Agroforest and native coastal mesic forest.
Associated Species:
With Sterculia, Hernandia, Cocos , Artocarpus, Calophyllum, Syzygium and Melochia.
