Plant Description:
Shrub with spreading branches. Flowers in racemes, bright pink to fuscia. In flower and early fruit (some seed capsules left from previous year). Normal vigor. Ca 50 mature plants, 100 seedlings in 12,000 sq meter area.
Habitat:
Coastal Herb/Shrubland. Dry, rocky talus slope with oxisol substrate derived from basaltic lava, 50 degree slope, W aspect, direct light ca 50% of day.

Sida fallax, Bidens mauiensis, Portulaca molokiniensis, Heteropobon contortus, Chamaesyce celastroides var. amplectens, Waltheria indica, Ipomoea tuboides, Panicum fauriei vr. Latius, Argomone glauca, Jacquemontia ovalifolia ssp. Sandwicensis, Heliotropium curassavicum, Lipochaeta lavarum, Lycium sandwicense, Sesuvium portulacastrum.
