Lower Limahuli Valley. On first gulch to the right, up right side of gulch, if coming down from falls.
Plant Description:
Large, multi-branched shrub. About 30 feet tall.

Habitat:
Wet, predominately non-native, forest. About 75% canopy cover. On side slope of small gulch, near the bottom part of slope.
Associated Species:
W/ Psidium cattleianum, Clidemia hirta, Freycinetia arborea, Schefflera actinophylla, Musa sp., Cordyline fruticosa, Metrosideros polymorpha, Spathoglottis plicata
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal pilot species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number 'HIB WAI LIM A 0005'. Two vouchers, DNA material and 60 seeds were collected (30 to nursery, 30 to storage). NTBG accession #20150876. 3 seeds that went to nursery had sprouted on Nov 16. Hawaiian land snail(s) removed for study by Norine Yeung (HAW) with final disposition at Bishop Museum
