Mt. Ha'upu. North facing side of small drainage.
Plant Description:
Small shrub about 2 feet tall. Upper side of leaves glossy. Flowers tubular and white.

In bud, flower and fruit
Habitat:
Side of muddy, rocky slope of small drainage.
Associated Species:
W/ Melinis minutiflora, Metrosideros polymorpha, Bidens valida, Machaerina angustifolia, Spathoglottis plicata
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal pilot species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number 'KAD FLU HUL A 0001'. Two vouchers, DNA material and seeds were collected (half to nursery, half to storage). NTBG accession #20150920.
