Plant Description:
Single trunk tree to 24 ft. Leaves glossy on adaxial surface, and matte yellow-green on the abaxial surface, yellow midvein. Flowers have no scent (morning), pinkish red with a yellow-green center. Rachis is purple with yellow-green splotches. Bark is mottled grey/light grey with numerous lichen individuals. Wood has the odor of carrots/turpentine.
Associated Species:
W/ Casuarina equisetifolia, Schinus, and a ground cover of grasses and Emilia spp.
