Plant Description:
Tree 5-6 m tall with full crown. Fruits green, ripening orange-red. Locally dominant.
Habitat:
Remnant of dry forest, over recent (1801) a'a lava flow.
Associated Species:
With Diospyros sandwicensis dominant, also Colubrina, Canthium, Nototrichium, etc with understory of introduced Pennisetum setaceum.
