Locality:
National Tropical Botanical Garden in Lawai Valley, McBryde Garden, Big Valley on west side of Lawai Stream, opposite Allerton Pavilion. Cultivated, grown from seed wild collected at Yela River valley, Kosrae, FSM (Lorence 7879).
Plant Description:
Tree 6 m tall with pagoda-like branch whorls, trunk 15 cm db h, new lvs. reddish beneath. Flowers white, faintly sweet fr agrant (5 pm). Fruits ellipsoid, green ripening purple, peri carp fleshy, 1-seeded.
