Plant Description:
Woody perennial with single (rarely multiple) stem to 3 m. tall X 2-3 cm. in diam., leaves clustered distally, latex white. Monocarpic, inflorescences terminal & axillary, corolla & staminal tube purplish pink, flowers protandrous. Localized population, endemic.
Habitat:
Rich low wet forest.
Associated Species:
with Metrosideros and Cheirodendron.
