Lihue-Koloa Forest Reserve. Along rid ge ESE of Puu Kolo.
Plant Description:
Single-stemmed shrub of 3 ft.; leaves dark, dull green above , pale green below; inflorescences pendant; corolla tube whi tish at apex, streaked with maroon, becoming dark purple at base.
Habitat:
Lower ridge in diverse forest with rather stunted vegetation on the windward slopes of the ridge.
Associated Species:
of Metrosideros, Acacia, Canthium, Cyanea, Bidens, Myrsine and Dicranopteris.
