Plant Description:
NTBG 711609.001. Solitary palm 12 m ht., 20 cm DBH, 14 leaves in crown, dead lvs not persistant, lvs pinnate, glabrous on upper surface, ramenta on underside of pinnae near base and on midrib. Lvs 414 cm long, 64 pair pinnae per leaf, pinnae 90 cm x 4 cm at base. Inflorescence interfoliar, flowers and fruits at various stages of development, fruits green, ripening to red and purplish black. Grown from seed obtained from the Mabel Wilcox Garden, Nawiliwili, Kauai, Hawaii (Grove Farm)
