Plant Description:
NTBG # 840589.001 Solitary palm 3.5 m ht w/ 27 leaves in the crown, DBH 30 cm, leaves persistant, infls interfoliar, both flowers and imm. fruit present. Leaves bluish green, with 80 pair pinnae per leaf, ramenta near the underside of each pinnae at base. Each leaf ca 3 m long, pinnae 75 cm. leaf bases covered w/ brown, downy scales. Fr ruminate. Plant grown from seed which was not of wild origin received from John Elliot, Hana, Maui, Hawaii.
