Plant Description:
1 m tall. Leaves glabrous, green above and below; 5 ray flor ets, yellow; 8-12 disc florets, rusty yellow.
Habitat:
Metrosideros montane wet mixed community with sedges, grasses and bryophytes. Epiphytes are common in the shrub layer.
Associated Species:
Cheirodendron, Eurya, Cyrtandra, D ubautia, Coprosma, Melicope, Hedyotis, Plantago, Pepperomia, Pipturus, Psychotria, Bidens, Cyanea, Anoectochilus, and nu merous pteridophytes.
