Plant Description:
2 m tall herb. Leaves glabrous dark green above, hairy light green below; stems yellow green; inflorescence yellow green ; 5 ray florets, yellow and ribbed; 12-16 disc florets, yell ow. Collected on north rappel.
Habitat:
Metrosideros montane wet mixed community with sedges, grasses, & bryophytes. Epiphytes are common in the shrub layer.
Associated Species:
Cheirodendron, Eurya, Cyrtandra, Duba utia, Coprosma, Melicope, Hedyotis, Plantago, Pepperomia, Pi pturus, Psychotria, Bidens, Cyanea, Anoectochilous, and nume rous pteridophytes.
