Kalalau, Nakeikionaiwi, above shower falls near park camping, along basalt walls and at bases of spire-like cliffs.

Plant Description:
Seed collected for NTBG; 5 m tall, sparsely branched tree; 30 cm DBH, perfect flowers in terminal, pendulous, racemose inflorescence, ca 35 cm long with 10--15 stamens in a single whirl, ovary inferior [12--15 carpels]; 50 deg NE aspect.
Habitat:
Degraded Diospyros dry forest.
Associated Species:
Relictual Psydrax odorata and occasional Metrosideros and dominated by secondary succession of alien vegetation such as Psidium guajava, Lantana comara, Kalanchoe pinnata, Eugenia cumini, Erigeron goat damage observed in region.
