Kalalau, Nakeikionaiwi, above shower falls near park camping, along basalt walls and at bases of spire-like cliffs.

7 m tall, 35 cm DBH; seed collected for NTBG; 50 % of the day in direct sunlight; very steep ascent to moderately steep terrace [20 deg]. In this region of Nakeikionaiwi [ca 2 sq kilometers] ca 27 Munroidendron were observed.
Habitat:
Degraded Diospyros dry forest.
