Plant Description:
Shrub, 4 m tall with narrow canopy. Leaves to 15 cm long, with red petioles and infloresence.
Habitat:
Native mesic forest with relatively open canopy. Metrosideros and Diospyros spp.
Associated Species:
With Pleomele aurea and Boehmeria grandis. Lantana camara dominant in understory.
