Plant Description:
Large shrub, 5 m tall. Twelve stems arising from base. Red petioles. Delicate, pendulous inflorescences. Seed accessioned with Living Collections (acc# 081109).
Habitat:
Mesic Metrosideros-Cheirodendron forest.
Associated Species:
Midstory with Hedyotis terminalis, Melicope spp, Cyrtandra longifolia, Cyanea leptostegia. Understory with Vaccinium, Dicranopteris, Rubus argutus, Asplenium spp, and Athyrium.
