Lawai Valley, National Tropical Botanical Garden. Big Valley. South side of stream, West of crossover between road and stream (across stream from Luau area).
Plant Description:
Shrub of 8 ft.; leaves matte medium green above, ± glossy pale green below with raised whitish green mid & 2° veins; inflorescence bracts deep red, calyx pale green overlain with red, fruit glossy green overlain with red, ripening dull black-brown, 4-seeded.
