Herb, 1m tall, flowers red. N.V. "Oangenpele [Pohnpeian]."
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Tuber: Antipruritic. Medicine to cure itchy skin. Take the tuber clean it and then scrape the inner part and miz with scraped coconut meat. Wrap in a piece of cloth. Rub on skin.
