Mont Me Ori massif, along road from Katrikoin towards sawmill at base of Mt. Me Ori.
Plant Description:
Terrestrial rhizomatous herb, rhizome subterranean, bright yellow-orange, aromatic; pseudostems 1-1.3m tall, dying back, old inflorscences terminal. Small colony along road. Voucher for rhizome collection NTBG 980652.
Habitat:
Diverse montane wet forest.
Associated Species:
Fagraea, Elaeocarpus, Cyathea, Bymnostomum, Shefflera, mixed with Pinus elliottii plantation.
